Hi leah (??)
I'm interested to know more cos I'm planning a trip next year in September by myself.
What hostel did you stay in? Is it the Carpe Diem? I've been researching on cheap hostels.
How safe is it to stay in the dormitory? I assumed that for 20k won that it is a dorm.
Is it easy to get around from there? I'm planning to explore Insadong, myeong dong , maybe a palace and the namsan Tower. Planning either a 3 day or 6 day trip in Seoul.
Pls advice

Yes, I stayed in Carpe Diem for two days. It's clean, safe and easy to get to places by subway. But, it's not exactly a "guest house". The caretaker works a regular job, so you don't see her until she gets home from work. I stayed in dorm for four, but I was the only guest the two days there, so I didn't have to share. But, that also mean there is not much human interaction during my stay there.
I also stayed in Windflower for two days. It's a safe and convenient place. Though it's not as clean, it has a lot of characters and the owner is quite friendly. It has the "guest house" atmosphere, and you get to meet other travelers.
